Local artist Faye P. Barber-Schmuhl is Vines & Rushes Winery’s featured artist of the mouth. She will display her art at The Great Room of the winery. Known for her watercolor and acrylic paintings, Faye has also turned her art into the wall hanging entitled “Joyous Uterus” during a thematic group show. See what this Brandon, WI native, who taught painting after she retired as a middle school instructor, has in store in her latest show.

The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) educates and demonstrates the principles that promote sustainable living, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Every year, it recruits volunteers to help in their fall cleanup at MREA headquarters, an annual activity that’s been described as a fun event. It’s an opportunity to meet like-minded folk such as MREA staff and fellow volunteers who are as passionate about their love for the environment as you are. To offer your help, call the volunteer coordinator at 715 592 6595 and don’t forget to dress for the weather. After the activity, get toasty by the wood burning masonry heater as pizza awaits.
